This is a drawing I did while in Wales.
On what I’d always called ‘our honeymoon’.

The weather was disgusting.
It was June but there was so much wind and rain that trees blew out of the ground and across roads and we spent a lot of time inside.

We did go to one pretty village, full of colourful houses.
But the prettiness was spoiled by gale force winds from the beach tearing at us.

The Welsh people were very nice.
We ate ice cream and went charity shopping and all the women in charity shops wore aprons and had sing-song accents when they broke into English.

The honeymoon is over but I just checked the forecast for Wales and severe weather warnings have been issued.
