2012-best year of life so far.
I spent the best week of my life with the Academy of Hypnotic Arts to train to be a hypnotist.
I had the best birthday party ever and that’s because I have interesting, funny, lovely waster friends.
I have made so many new ones, too.
I’ve gotten to spend the year with my step-daughter and feel a bit what it’s like to be a parent which is attitude changing to say the least.
I got my first artistic mentee.
And I met a girl who is quite a spectacularly unique evolutionary unit.
Now, lets compare last year.
Too, too much death.
Then my Mother dies.
Ensuing estrangement from family.
Stalker.
Break down.
Wife throws me out.
Marriage over.
Solicitors, dissolving proceedings.
The moral of this story is that there is bad, nasty pain and days and sometimes when you don’t think it could get worse, it does.
Conversely, there exist unplanned for happiness and relief from care and just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does.
2013-if nothing else, this is the year I visit New York.

This is the top half of my newest drawing, which I changed the name of and might change again.
What’s happening here is that I’m laying the spirals out and starting to lay some over each other.
I also drew a couple of flies in there.
I was planning to shade under them, but they didn’t ‘fit’, so I encircled one and will do the same with the others.
I had them there because I was thinking of death and, to me, the fly is the insect that best represents death.
Wherever something dies, the flies will move in quickly.
