My friend, Alex Mitchell writes about gardening.

Last week I was in Nottingham and my friend said-“I’m worried about my yellow peppers.
Their skins go black.”

The peppers grow in pots on her window sill.
She thought the black might from leaving the windows open on warm evenings, the pollution from the road outside coming in and settling on the skin.

I don’t know the difference between a banana plant and a cockerel, but I wanted to show off and solve the pepper dilemma.
So I tweeted Alex.

If you like gardening and want to know why yellow peppers go through a black period, you should follow Alex on Twitter and ask her.
