Today, in my studio, after a particularly unpleasant phone conversation, the word CREEP flashed across my forebrain, slid between my fingers, and landed on my page.
Actually, it came about listening to Madeleine Alrbight talking about Saddam Hussein having called her an ‘unparallelled serpent’.
Looking up serpent, I found it’s from the Latin to creep.
These pictures are taking on a kind of sky-earth feeling.
I didn’t mean to divide them in such a way, but they’re just turning out like that.
Dark in the bottom section, lots of close, heavy lines.
Light up top, lots of space and spirographs.

Today’s good thing was hot chocolate with Sally, Hanna, Clare and the delightful Choe.
Highlight- Hanna managing to unplug the pebble-dash sized piece of snot from Chloe’s nostril.
