I have had a week of some unpleasantness, dealing with unpleasant situations.
I feel some internal discomfort thinking about some unpleasant people whom I’ll have to deal with next week.

However, and I DO NOT hate to harp on about it, TED talks make all the difference.
Today’s stand out talk was Aimee Mullins, The Opportunity of Adversity.

I have some unpleasantness in my life, but not adversity.
I don’t think that I actually have ever had any adversity.
I have never had a major challenge to tackle.
I haven’t had pieces of me blown off as a child in a war started by a distant grown-up.

Lemme tell ya, I am in no way, shape or form a self-help baa-lamb.
I once made a feeble, half arse, drink and drug induced attempt to ‘right’ my life via Louise Hay.

If ONLY there had been TED and the talks back then.
Listen to Aimee and then get back to me on how GOOD your life is.

Today’s good thing was that we finally all got together and had a lovely meeting with John, Mark and Olly and decided on a name for the new zine.
