What appeals to me most about TED talks, is that they represent the opposite of the line above.
The person, or idea, utmost in the mid of TED speakers seems never to be the speaker themselves.
Today’s standout talk was this one, on Organised Crime by Misha Glenny.
I must say, I’m pleased to hear that the quality of ecstasy etc is improving.
I am a fan of ‘moderate’ drug use.
Prohibition doesn’t work.
I know very few people who respect or follow the drug laws.
And if they do, it isn’t because they think drugs are wrong, it’s because at one point in their lives they took too many and have decided to stop.

Today’s good thing was getting my hair properly coloured by John, the mobile hair guy.
It no longer looks like the singed hair of a cheap doll.
