2 good things today, both involving food.
Laura came back from lunch with a bag of chocolate covered peanuts.
'I got something for you,' she says, 'but I ate half of them,'
She gives me the half eaten bag of peanuts and I eat the rest of them while she makes tea in the kitchen.
Then, in the evening, Mel brings chocolate muffins, homemade.

In terms of TED talks, today’s standout was this.
I’m fascinated by this great Pacific garbage patch thing.
And today while I’m drawing spirals I’m looking over at my mac book, watching videos of decomposing birds.
See, the birds eat plastic bottle tops them, picking them up out of the sea thinking they’re food.
Then they die and they rot, but the plastic doesn’t.

So there’s a dead bird, it’s rotting wings bent back, it’s head bent sideways, and a little mound of undigested plastic bottle tops where it’s gut would normally be.
